What is the difference between 'Collision Insurance' vs. 'Comprehensive insurance?

Both coverages must be purchased together in one policy and both cover your car. The difference between the two is that comprehensive insurance pays for damages due to factors beyond your control. Collision insurance pays for damages due to traffic accidents while the car is in motion.
